My goal is to help you navigate life’s struggles, heal from your wounds, and create the life you want.

Services

The goal of my work is healthier, more rewarding relationships with the self and others through discovery, understanding, and insight. If there are things that you want to change in your life, if you're going through a difficult time or struggling with a difficult situation, psychotherapy can help. This work can alleviate suffering, solve problems, and create new possibilities. It's possible to foster a more fulfilling relationship with yourself, others, and the world through discovery and understanding of yourself, your history, and what shaped you.

I can help with a wide variety of problems that you may be experiencing in your life. My style is warm and relational, and I use a variety of tools rooted in a psychodynamic, neuroscience-based, trauma-informed framework. This means that I am knowledgeable about the root causes of suffering, and seek true healing and long-term change. My clients and colleagues have described me as friendly, kind, empathic, and knowledgeable.

About

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY34930), and I offer individual therapy to adults in Berkeley, CA. I offer in-person sessions or telehealth (zoom) sessions, as needed.

The work that I do is focused on discovering and understanding the underlying causes of your problems. My focus is on long-term  healing. This work is very rewarding and can improve your life in significant, palpable ways.

I’ve worked with patients struggling with day to day life and/or career issues, healing from childhood physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse, and/or neglect, battling intergenerational trauma, and parenting without a parent(s). My experience and expertise is mainly in trauma, relationships, and attachment.

I earned my BA in Women Studies at UC Davis and my PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in San Francisco (formerly the California School of Professional Psychology). I did my clinical training at Child Haven, Through the Looking Glass, Richmond Area MultiServices (RAMS), the Ann Martin Center, the San Francisco Veterans Administration, and Safe and Sound (previously San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention). I'm a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP).
