About Me

cb816536d4a525ec.jpeg

I’m trained in psychodynamic therapy, a research-based and proven method, where one seeks the causes and origins of suffering and works through them, healing and letting them go. In session, I use empathy and gentle, kind curiosity to discover and understand the origins of maladaptive behaviors and suffering to create new, adaptive, and rewarding ways of living. This approach results in clients feeling more relaxed and present, and increases their ability to make decisions that are aligned with their values. My style is warm, active, and goal-oriented.

I’ve worked with patients struggling with day-to-day life, career issues, relationship issues, healing from childhood physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse, and/or neglect, battling inter-generational trauma, or parenting without parents. Many of my clients come in to address trauma histories, anxiety, stress of current events, and/or depression. I have advanced training and expertise in treating trauma: complex/developmental trauma, C-PTSD, PTSD, sexual assault, childhood physical, sexual, emotional abuse and/or neglect, incest, and/or familial estrangement.

I also offer parent education and support: understanding child development and what to expect from your child at different ages and stages, addressing specific parenting questions/concerns, ending intergenerational trauma while parenting, and parenting without a parent. Parenting is so hard! You don’t have to do it alone.

My practice is informed by attachment theory, psychoanalytic theories, human development, family systems theory, psychodynamic theory, and cognitive behavioral theory (CBT). The work that we do together is always specifically tailored to your needs.

Please feel free to call or email me and we can set up a free consultation call to determine whether this might be a good fit for you. I look forward to meeting you.
